The two coatings below show the difference between conventional zinc dust products and the new ZINC-FLAKE pigment used in the GALV TECH range.
Both plates were prepared in the same manner, then exposed to salt spray tests according to DIN 50021.
Results
Plate A - Galv Tech ZINC SPRAY

After 240 Hours minor surface White corrosion. No rust in cuts. The surface was healed in a similar fashion to Hot Dip Galvanising.

Plate B - Conventional Zinc dust spray

After only 140 hours. Extensive surface White corrosion and blistering. There are numerous penetrations of the coating by rust. Rust has deteriorated the coating either side of the cut.
