Substrate should be clean, sound, dry and free of oil, grease and surface contaminants. Thoroughly remove all loose particles and dust. Degrease metals.

Priming - no primers are required for anodised aluminium, non absorbent material such as glass, ceramics, stoneware, tiles and fibreglass.

Application

Minimum application temperature 5 C. For easier use, store cartridges at temp between 10 C and 20 C. Break inner seal of extrusion end of cartridge and remove base seal with a knife. Affix nozzle to cartridge, cut tip to suit joint size. Install into a caulking gun. For adhesive purposes, apply in spots or strips on the prepared surface, tapping or pressing the part to be adhered against the substrate. The thickness of the bead depends on the surface texture (1 to 3mm). When sealing is completed, joints may be smoothed with soapy water. When masking for neatness, remove tape before the sealant cures. Always allow sufficient surface exposed to moisture.

Coverage - One cartridge of 9002/9005 = 310cc (approx 141/4 cartridges per gallon) will produce a bead of sealant per cartridge as follows:

Degrease all metals to promote adhesion.

Cleaning - Remove unhardened 9002/9005 with an approved cleaner. Hardened sealant can only be removed by knife, cheese wire or by mechanical means.
