GALV TECH COLD GALV is a specially formulated paint product, designed for the coating of bare metals and other materials, to give the appearance of hot-dip galvanize components. The general nature of the zinc and aluminium particles means they effectively separate as the film dries, leaving the zinc particles in close contact with the substrate and the aluminium particles "float" to the surface, giving the bright finish associated with original hot dip galvanizing. Cold Galv chemically etches itself into the surface that has been treated thus preventing corrosion. It may also be used as a wood preservative.
GALV TECH COLD GALV may also be used over Zinc spray/paste, giving full cathodic protection to untreated metal surfaces and may be over-painted with succeeding finishing coats. It provides excellent corrosion protection and allows spot welding completely.
