The following information is given to provide assistance to users of the GALV TECH range of aerosol products, for the purpose of obtaining correct dry-film thickness (for individual coats) according to the manufacturer and subsequently to obtain the total dry film thickness as required by BS/EN/ISO 1461. For the best performance, it is better to apply several thin coats than a single thick coat, in that the integrity and life of the final coating will be much improved.
Following surface preparation (see method statement), the products should be applied as follows, to achieve approx. 30-40um average per coat.
From approx: 20cm (8ins) at 6cm (2.5ins) per second and 1½ times passes, ie:
